Vertical Fire -Ceramic_remains.
Ceramic Remains is a series of ceramic sculptures built by repeatedly brushing organic materials – such as branches and twigs – with porcelain slip. Through many layers, a ceramic shell gradually forms around the object, which then burns away during firing. What remains is a hollow imprint of the original material.
The pieces are glazed with pure wood ash from various types of firewood, which melts at high temperatures and produces raw, unpredictable surface textures.
The series combines traditional ceramic techniques with experimental processes, exploring how repetition, disappearance, and transformation shape the final result.
