Ceramic Remains – Vertical Fire
Ceramic Remains is a series of vertical ceramic sculptures formed by repeatedly coating organic materials, such as branches, with porcelain slip. During firing, the organic matter burns away, leaving behind hollow porcelain structures that resemble fossils or skeletal remains. The glaze is made from pure wood ash, collected from different types of trees, giving each piece a unique surface quality and mineral imprint.
The works rise like scorched traces of something once alive – delicate, yet enduring. They evoke archaeological fragments from a speculative future, exploring themes of transformation, material memory, and what is preserved through fire.

Fire Batik
–My Fire Batik series explores the tension between control and chaos. By burning silk fabric with fire, a batik-like pattern emerges, where the burn holes represent a deliberate loss of control. Mounted on fiberglass or other synthetic materials, the contrast between the matte, scorched areas and the glossy, untouched surfaces is accentuated.
Silk, a traditional and organic material, meets fiberglass – a modern industrial composite. Together, they create a visual and material tension between the handmade and the technological. The work draws a line from historical craft traditions to contemporary material technologies, aiming to balance the archaic and the hypermodern.

Powerdrill Pottery
Powerdrill Pottery is an experimental ceramic technique where raw clay forms are perforated and shaped using electric tools. The method combines brutality and precision, resulting in works with an archaic yet technological aesthetic. The surface is carved while the clay is still leather-hard, allowing for graphic, perforated structures and deep, rhythmic patterns. The technique emerges from a fascination with both ancient clay artifacts and science fiction-inspired design.▼
